Francesco Muttoni

Francesco Muttoni (Lacima, Lugano 1667-Vicenza 1747) was an excellent architect. He studied Palladio's work for a long time and dedicated two publications to them.
Among his works the most important are: Palazzo Repeta, which now houses the Bank of Italy, one of his youthful works (1701), the facade and modifications of the wing of the Palazzo of Monte di Pietà, which was the first building to house the City Library Bertoliana, Palazzo Trento Valmarana, Palazzo Velo, Villa Loschi Zileri dal Verme and the Porticoes of Monte Berico.
