Palazzi Arnaldi

The first Palazzo Arnaldi-Segala (now Bertevello), at number 14 of Contrà Pasini, was begun between 1450 and 1460, and completed around 1480. The facade is similar to that of Palazzo Garzadori-Fattore, especially as regards its "piano nobile". The portal and apertures of the second floor are round.
The second Palazzo Arnaldi-Tretti (now Piccoli), at number 16, is close to the manner of Lorenzo da Bologna, even though it has not been attributed to him. It can be dated to around the 70s or 80s of the 15th century.
Even while maintaining the plan of the other Arnaldi palazzo, it shows stylistic traits nearer to the early Renaissance. The lozenge motif on the ground floor of the facade is interesting.

Address: contrà Pasini, 14 - 16
