Palazzo Iseppo da Porto
now Festa
The residence of Iseppo da Porto, started between the years 1549-53, was never completed, only the building on Contrà Porti being erected.
The facade has three floors. The ground floor is dominated by ashlar work and by rectangular windows; the "piano nobile" has eight Ionic order half-columns and seven windows with alternating capitals. On the attic floor, on the other hand, statues and small pillars extend the vertical lines of the half-columns. The interior was decorated by Giambattista Tiepolo in 1760. Few traces have remained of his cycle of paintings: in one hall there is the bottom layer of a ruined fresco depicting "The Apotheosis of Orazio da Porto", and in another three decorated sections of ceiling.
