Palazzo Porto-Breganze
now Telecom Italia
Vincenzo Scamozzi erected this section of Palazzo Porto-Breganze at the beginning of the 17th century, following a Palladian design. Only two inter-columns were built instead of the seven originally planned, with a courtyard which, if it had been built, would have been an exhedra-type loggia. The existing facade is made up of three giant Corinthian half-columns, and the capitals are decorated with rich festoons. The design of the palazzo is without doubt one of the loftiest demonstrations of Palladio's artistic maturity, following on his third trip to Rome.
Unfortunately the interiors were changed for the worse over the years.
