Palazzo Sesso-Zen-Fontana

Palazzo Sesso-Zen-Fontana is one of the most important examples of flamboyant Gothic in the Vicenza area, and is of great interest in its reminiscence of the typology of the Venetian palazzo.
Built on pre-existing 13th and 14th constructions, traces of which can still be seen on the facade, the building dates back to the years between 1450 and 1460. In the 17th century it had another floor added to bring it up to the height of the surrounding buildings.
The original, well-preserved courtyard, with an external stairway supported on arches, is the only extant example of a Vicenza dwelling of the time.
