Palazzo Velo
now Vettore
Palazzo Velo is the incomplete work of Francesco Muttoni (1706), the most important architect in Vicenza in the first decades of the 18th century, the designer among other things of the Porticoes of Monte Berico. In his great admiration for Palladio, Muttoni draws his inspiration from Palazzo Chiericati, both for the facade facing Contrà Cantarane, and for the main facade, facing Contrà Lodi, which although incomplete shows the strength of a project which was to transform the district, also by Giorgio Massari's later work on Palazzo Romanelli.
Address: contrà Lodi
