Corso Palladio
The route of Corso Andrea Palladio corresponds to the ancient "decumanus maximus" of Roman Vicetia, which made up part of the route of the ancient Via Postumia, which ran from Genoa to Aquileia. Its present name dates back to 1945, but before it was Contrà del Corso, because horse races were held here; then, in 1866, it was called Principe Umberto, and in 1943 Ettore Muti.
In the course of the centuries it has always been the main axis of the city, the place where the prestigious palazzi of the noble families were built. Today it is a place for walks and meeting people, as well as being an elegant shopping street.
