Parco Querini

The Parco Querini was originally the vast private garden of the Palazzo Capra-Querini, in Contrà San Marco. It is now council property and has been reduced to a little wood containing hospital buildings. It is a great stretch of land crossed by the Astichello which flows beneath the little rise on which stands the Ionic chapel of Antonio Piovene. The long avenue which leads to the chapel is lined with 18th century statues by Antonio Gai and other sculptors.
