Piazza XX Settembre
Piazza XX Settembre stands on the other side of Ponte degli Angeli, before the beginning of the streets IV Novembre, Contrà Torretti, Contrà Santa Lucia and Contrà XX Settembre. Originally it was called Piazzetta degli Angeli, like the nearby bridge. In 1897 an obelisk, a symbol of liberty, was erected in the middle of the piazza, and the following year the communal council decided to name the square after the Taking of Rome on 20 September, 1871.
On the north flank of the square stands Palazzo Angaran.
