Ponte Furo

The Ponte Furo crosses the river Retrone and dates back, as does Ponte delle Barche, to the Roman period (2nd century AD). It still has the original abutment, piers and two arches. In the Middle Ages it was enlarged and strengthened to insert it, as was Ponte delle Barche, as part of the walls.
