Centro Internazionale di Studi di Architettura Andrea Palladio
In Palazzo Barbaran da Porto is the Museo Palladio, an integrated project with permanent and temporary exhibitions run by the Centro Internazionale di Studi di Architettura Andrea Palladio, the most important European research institute in the history of architecture.
There is a library and photograph archive specialised in the history of architecture.
The heart of the Museo Palladiano is the Palazzo Barbaran da Porto itself, entirely open to the public. On the "piano nobile" of the south wing there will be a didactic section on the work of Palladio. The museum will also have a complete calendar of exhibitions dedicated to Renaissance, ancient and contemporary architecture. It is the only palazzo that the great architect managed to complete: for this reason no other building gives the visitor today such a sense of the original appearance of a town house designed by Palladio.
