The Sanctuary of Santa Maria della Pieve was originally one of the ancient country churches of the 9th and 10th centuries. Originally it had a rectangular plan and the apse faced east. In 1240 the little church was demolished to be re-built elsewhere. Following on this it was enlarged; the present church dates back to 1962. Since 1867 it has been managed by the Franciscan Minor Friars. The presence of the Franciscans has been strengthened by the Seminarium (1876-1996) and the Sanctuary complex as a whole.
The interior still houses remains of the history of the Sanctuary, with furnishing and works of art. There is a particularly interesting Virgin with Child in polychrome stone and 15th century Gothic form. The Baroque altar of 1743 is also interesting. Near the parish church, a path with the Stations of the Cross (1989) leads to the Grotto of Lourdes (1935), built by Beato Fra Claudio Granzotto.
