Father Antonio Pagani

In 1586 Father Antonio Pagani chose the solitary convent of San Pancrazio as the most suitable place for prayer. His words, his writings and the whole example of his life of penance, seclusion and contemplation attracted many people.
He was a man of vast theological learning, was an apostle of Vicenza for twenty years and collaborated with the Bishops in putting into practice the Reforms of the Council of Trent. He founded the company of the Cross and the Dimesse.
He died an extremely holy man in 1589.
