Oratory of Santa Maria delle Grazie
The Oratory of Santa Maria delle Grazie was founded in 1494 and is the work of the religious order of the Girolimini. In 1580 it was entirely rebuilt in the style of Pizzocaro and the Albaneses.
The architecture and sculptural decorations of the facade are quite complex: at the bottom three apertures with two high pilasters and two reliefs representing episodes from the Scriptures, at the centre three niches with the statues of the Virgin and the saints Francis and Jerome, at the top the crowning tympanum with the image of God the Father in the centre.
Inside, the most interesting paintings are "The Trinity" by Alessandro Maganza, and "The Ecstasy of St Francis" by Leandro da Ponte, also known as Bassano (son of Jacopo).
The high altar has a tabernacle by Orazio Marinali (1688) and a sculptural group of the 15th century.
The oratory is now used as the assembly hall of the Rezzara Institute.
