From Piazza dei Signori to Piazza Matteotti

The itinerary starts from Piazza dei Signori where we can admire the Loggia del Capitaniato, the Monte di Pietà and the Church of San Vincenzo on the north side, and the Basilica and the Torre dei Bissari on the south side. Entering the courtyard of dei Bissari we see the Palazzo del Podestà and the Torre del Tormento and we descend to Piazza delle Erbe. From here we can detour across Ponte San Paolo towards the area of the Teatro Berga and see Porton del Luzo, Ponte Furo and Palazzo Civena in Viale Eretenio. Here we may decide to have a rest in Campo Marzo.
We return by going back up Viale Eretenio, and in Contrà Oratorio de' Proti we visit the Oratory of the same name; turning right there is the entrance door of the Ospizio dei Proti and proceeding up Via Pigafetta we can admire the facade of the house of the same name.
Returning up Contrà Cavour we come back to Corso Palladio and proceed by making a detour along the streets to the right of the Corso. We start from Via Porti with Palazzi Barbaran, Iseppo da Porto, Porto-Bertolini, Porto Breganze and Porto-Colleoni. We continue along Contrà San Gaetano da Thiene and Zanella to see Palazzi Thiene and Sesso-Zen-Fontana. Before arriving at Santa Corona and visiting the Church, the Archeological museum and Palazzo Leoni Montanari, we can also see the Church of St Stephen (Contrà Santo Stefano).
Coming back to Corso Palladio by Contrà Santa Corona, we go up the main street a short way to visit the Church of San Gaetano and admire the facade of Palazzo Caldogno Franceschini (Ca' d'Oro). Now we take Contrà Santa Barbara to see the Church of the Servi at the level of Piazza Biade.
Proceeding south (Contrà Gazzolle) we arrive at Palazzo Garzadori-Braga; from here we can continue towards Ponte San Michele and the Oratory of San Nicola.
The itinerary concludes in Piazza Matteotti where we see the Teatro Olimpico and Palazzo Chiericati, where the Pinacoteca is. This can be reached from Corso Palladio or from Contrà Barche, the ancient port area.
