From Monte Berico to La Rotonda
This itinerary is better followed by car, but alternatively we can take a walking route to admire the historical, cultural, artistic and also natural beauties of these places.
Walking route.
Starting from the Arco delle Scalette we arrive at the Basilica of Monte Berico; after a visit we can have a short rest on the Piazzale della Vittoria to admire the panoramic view over Vicenza. We proceed towards the Parco Storico of Villa Guiccioli where we can visit the Museo del Risorgimento e della Resistenza; before entering there is a refreshment area for visitors.
From the park we can join the nature path that takes us to the Valletta del Silenzio and from here we can arrive at the Valmarana and La Rotonda villas.
Car route.
If we are in a car, we go up to Monte Berico from Viale Risorgimento. Coming back down and turning right we take the main road Riviera Berica for the Valmarana and La Rotonda villas.
From Viale Risorgimento we can also detour along Viale Fusinato where at Gogna there stands the Church of St George, and proceed along Viale Sant'Agostino and visit the Abbey.
Both from Viale X Giugno, which becomes the road that runs along the Monti Berici after Villa Guccioli, and the Riviera Berica road, we can reach the numerous places in the Monti Berici with an important historical and cultural heritage, and famous places where to eat as well.
